As far as ECing after their 10 mo. I think you can. I started Caleb late, 10 mo actually... but wasnt consistant w/ him. He was going on the potty reguarlly by 18 mo.. but after an airport toilet scare (flushed extremely loud!) while he was going... he refused to go potty again until he was almost 2. He was trained by the time Taite was born so he was just over 2.
Which is good for boys.
So yes I dont think it be bad to start them after a certain age. Its teaching none the less.
